Tomato Braised Chicken Cacciatore

We were on the hunt for another great recipe and this dinner definitely delivers. Our cacciatore - which means “hunter-style” in Italian - starts with a flavorful blend of olive oil, ripe tomatoes and fragrant Tuscan-style herbs and spices, creating a beautiful braising sauce for our sauteed chicken thighs and sweet bell peppers. We’re adding delicate angel hair pasta, cooked perfectly al dente, and swirling everything together for a true taste of Tuscany.

A NOTE ON SEARING & BRAISING:

Searing: Make sure your pan and oil are hot before adding the chicken, be careful not to touch the chicken once you place it in the pan; this is what will deliver a golden brown 'sear' to the chicken and lock in its delicious flavor.

Braising: Braising is a classic technique that involves searing meat in a hot pan before simmering 'low and slow' in a sauce. This process infuses protein with moisture and creates mouth-watering depth of flavor.
